Alexander Strobel: Vice-Champion

A little over a year ago, Alex Strobel did not even have a PC capable of running iRacing, but having witnessed his pace in GT7, we were convinced that he had the potential to go much further, and with Alex sharing that same determination, we set out to make it happen together.
Alex may not have the latest equipment, a professional simulator rig or a triple-screen setup, but what he does have is an enormous heart, an unwavering passion for racing and the determination to make the most of every opportunity, qualities that have carried him through an impressive maiden season in touring cars.
Throughout the year, Alex secured multiple class victories and podium finishes in ARL Touring Car Britain, one of the most competitive touring car leagues in the world, establishing himself as a serious contender in the Am class championship, although a handful of incidents ultimately prevented him from consistently challenging at the front. Even so, with just two rounds remaining, he was still within 20 points of the championship leader and firmly in contention for the title. Unfortunately, technical limitations caused by an iRacing update left his PC unable to run the simulator in time for Round 9 at Oulton Park, an absence that brought his championship ambitions to an end. Alex returned for the season finale, however, and claimed victory in one of the three races, providing a fitting conclusion to a campaign defined by resilience, determination and an unmistakable desire to succeed.
We would like to congratulate Alex on this outstanding achievement and on securing the first major trophy of his racing career, a milestone that reflects not only his progress as a driver, but also the commitment and perseverance that have brought him this far.
Within Scorpio RaceGen, Alex has become much more than a driver, as he is also a valued member of the team, a natural community builder who brings people together, organises fellow racers for endurance events and, perhaps just as importantly, never misses an opportunity to make everyone around him laugh. His contribution to the team extends well beyond the results sheet, and it is precisely this combination of racing ambition, personality and team spirit that makes him such an important part of our family.
We look forward to seeing Alex continue his journey with Scorpio RaceGen for many years to come, and we have every reason to believe that this first major trophy will be only the beginning of an exciting chapter in his racing career.
