Ivan Taranov is a former professional racing driver with a career spanning multiple categories including single-seaters, GT cars, prototypes, and touring cars. He was part of the prestigious Force India Young Driver Academy in 2014 and gained experience as a Formula 2 and Formula 3 test driver. Racing for Scorpio Motorsport in 2012 and 2013, Ivan secured multiple victories and laid the foundation of a long-term partnership with team founder Jonathan Pettitt.

 

After a severe crash ended his racing career, Ivan transitioned into coaching and has since built a reputation as a respected driver coach in both real-world and sim racing.

 

In 2025, he launched Scorpio eSports, a professional esports division fully backed by Scorpio Motorsport, and co founded Scorpio NextGen, a driver management company dedicated to developing the next generation of racing talent.
