Overview

Ryan Stringer’s journey in motorsport began long before sim racing. He started karting at just six years old in the Bambino category before moving into Honda Cadets at eight. Racing was where Ryan belonged but financial limitations forced him to step away from real competition. That passion, however, never disappeared.


In 2013 Ryan discovered sim racing through Gran Turismo 6, and it quickly became his way to stay connected to motorsport. By 2019, he had transitioned into Assetto Corsa Competizione where he began to take sim racing seriously. Ryan’s ambition is to become a professional esports driver and use the virtual world as a route back into real racing. Inspired by names like Chris Lulham and Sebastian Job, drivers who built careers from sim racing into real-world racing, and Ryan wants to follow that same path.


His results speak for themselves. Ryan is an ACC GT4 Champion in the FRL Multiclass Championship and secured eighth place in the SRL EGT GT4 standings last year. Consistency, calmness under pressure and precise racecraft define his driving style.


Ryan dreams of returning to real racing and hopes to compete in a real GT programme one day. He already has real-world driving experience, from supercars to Ariel Atoms, and continues to build mechanical understanding. In fact, he plans to spend time in racing paddocks as a mechanic in 2026, combining practical racing knowledge with sim performance.


He enjoys European circuits including Brands Hatch, Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans and the Nordschleife, and gravitates toward GT machinery. His favourite driver is Raffaele Marciello, whose success in GT competition inspires him, and he follows BMW’s GTP programme closely.


Outside the sim, Ryan is full of personality, having once raced in karting against future stars such as Lando Norris, Billy Monger and Jamie Caroline.

For Ryan, sim racing is not just a hobby. It is the next chapter of a racing career paused too early, and he is determined to prove himself worthy of real-world opportunities at the highest level.
