Charlie Devlin Wins iRacing Production Car Challenge in Top Split

Scorpio eSports driver Charlie Devlin delivered a standout performance by winning the iRacing Production Car Challenge in the Mazda MX-5, securing victory in the top split of the official iRacing series.

The Production Car Challenge is one of iRacing’s toughest official endurance formats, demanding consistency, focus, and racecraft over a full four-hour race. While many drivers struggle to maintain performance and concentration over such a long distance, Charlie rose to the challenge with a composed and disciplined drive from start to finish, competing in constantly changing conditions including rain and mixed track states.

Charlie managed over 50 cars of traffic, tyre wear, and incredibly difficult wet weather strategy with precision and calmness, while being one of the very few drivers who did full 4 hours by themselves. Supported throughout the race by his race engineer James Whitehead, who worked alongside him for the entire four hours, Charlie was able to adapt in real time as conditions evolved and pressure increased.

The result was a commanding victory, finishing one full lap ahead of P2, a rare margin in such a competitive top-split field. Racing the Mazda MX-5, a car that rewards clean inputs and smart decision-making rather than aggression, Charlie demonstrated the kind of endurance racing skill that directly translates to real-world motorsport.

Official iRacing endurance wins are never about raw pace alone (in this instance though, Charlie definitely was the fastest, at times being over 2 seconds a lap quicker than the entire field, especially during the torrential rain). They are about mental strength, teamwork, and the ability to perform under fatigue - all qualities Charlie showed in abundance.

This win is another strong statement from Scorpio eSports in official competitions and a clear example of how structured sim racing, when approached professionally, can develop real racing capability.

Congratulations to Charlie Devlin on a well-earned endurance victory.
