Scorpio eSports driver Charlie Devlin will compete in the UK BMW 116 Trophy this season, officially taking his next step from sim racing into real-world motorsport.

After proving himself online with major titles including the Official JSCC E-Series, the Official Ginetta Juniors E-Series, and a dominant victory in the iRacing PCC Endurance Special Event where he won by over a lap in brutal wet-weather conditions, Charlie has been building toward this moment. All I can say is: he understands racecraft, pressure, strategy and consistency, and he proved that in a Britcar 24h last year. Testing in the BMW 116 Trophy car across multiple UK circuits in both wet and dry conditions showed exactly what we already knew: the pace is there and he will be fighting for the podiums. He has experience inside real paddocks from UK Legends to BTCC environments, studies aeronautical engineering, and approaches racing with the mindset of both a driver and a future engineer (and a champion, I’m tempted to add).
And now the time has come to put it all together on a REAL track.
The BMW 116 Trophy is one of the UK’s most competitive entry-level touring car championships, known for close racing and developing serious talent. It is the perfect proving ground.
This is only the beginning of Charlie’s real-world journey, and everyone at Scorpio eSports is incredibly proud to support him as he takes this step.
Let’s go Charlie, show them what you’re made of!
