Overview

Timothy Friis Larsen began sim racing at the start of 2022 after reigniting his passion for motorsport through Formula 1. Having always been a car enthusiast, his interest in racing intensified after stepping away from football, quickly turning into a serious commitment rather than a casual hobby.

Driven by a strong personal mindset, always wanting to be good at what he loves, Timothy approached sim racing with focus and ambition from the outset. As racing became his main passion, so did his desire to compete at the highest level and measure himself against the very best.

​

His primary goal in sim racing is to establish himself as a fast, consistent, and respectable driver, with the ultimate dream of transitioning into real-world racing and building a professional career from it. That ambition is backed up by results. Timothy has achieved standout performances in official iRacing races, including beating multiple real-world racing drivers such as Taylor Barnard, Isack Hadjar, and Kimi Antonelli. His pace has also earned him a Formula iRating that places him close to the top 50 drivers worldwide, according to iRacing’s driver rankings.

While Timothy takes competition seriously, enjoyment remains at the core of his success. He firmly believes that without fun and passion, long-term performance is impossible - a mindset that has helped him progress rapidly in a short period of time.

​

His real-world experience is currently limited to a small number of rental karting sessions, but his ambitions go far beyond that. Timothy dreams of reaching the top tiers of motorsport, with aspirations that include Formula 1, WEC, IndyCar, or Super Formula. Unsurprisingly, Super Formula is the car he enjoys driving the most, closely followed by other open-wheel and prototype machinery.

When it comes to inspiration, Ayrton Senna ranks high among his favourite drivers, admired for his raw speed, intensity, and legacy. His favourite team is McLaren, drawn by their engineering philosophy and iconic racing cars.
